Why Online Marketing Japan?
These days anyone who has done a search on Google can call himself an ‘online marketer.’ In other words: watch out. If you are serious about your web presence it might be worth to read the few lines below.
Are you planning to enter or expand your business in the Japanese market and looking to outsource the ‘gee wiz’ of the online marketing to a third party? If so, you have probably three main choices:
1). Hire an online marketing agency. This is the best choice if your organization is large (over 200 employees) and whose profit is largely generated through online (over 40%).
2). Hire a full-time online marketing manager. Again, this solution only makes sense if your company is fairly large (200 plus) and whose online profit makes up for a large chunk of its overall revenue. Chances are that in the end your online marketing manager will end up working with an online marketing agency anyways.
3). Hire a pro to do the work for you. This is where Online Marketing Japan (me) comes in. This solution is perfect for smaller companies (usually under 100 / 200 employees). Why is this a no-brainer for such firms? Simply put: agencies will not have time to worry about your business. They have their own to run. They are dependant on large accounts to pay their bills (most likely not your account). Their full muscle comes into effect only with huge projects that no bear person can hope to handle effectively. On smaller firms or even medium size businesses, agencies are terribly Wasteful, Slow, and Ineffective. How do I know?
Experience:
I come from a top-notch Japanese online marketing agency background. I did not jump the hoop from a translator or an English teacher to being an online marketing pro. I know the standards of a professional agency in project management, SEO implementation, SEM / PPC campaign ROI management, reporting and conversion tracking and improvement. During my time I had consulted dozens of companies in their online strategy, implemented many SEO programs and co-managed large PPC campaigns in thousands of dollars. Now I want to bring my knowledge to you. In my private practice I had pushed my experience even further by implementing more work-intensive solutions like SNS marketing on the Japanese web and seeing the effect that it has on the clients’ traffic.
My previous work experience is in offline marketing where I had learned the power that effective headlines have on conversions as well as marketing fundamentals.
I hold a Masters in engineering from Tokyo University (Japan’s No#1 ranking school)… but lets just say that this is a frosting on the cake.
The way I work:
Online Marketing Japan is a one man shop. It is not a company, or an agency. There is no office rent, no managers, no paper work to fill out, no new people who pretend to be seasoned but need training, and all the fees and time that go with that. I work personally with my clients and make sure to outsource additional work to the best professionals in the business. This brings the costs down and the speed and quality of the work up.
Prices vs Results:
We might not be as cheap as some ‘SEO / online marketing “Professionals”’ out there but we are surely much cheaper than 99% of the agencies you will run into. However, this is only a very small part of the benefits you will discover when working with us. I am confident that the vast majority of the agencies cannot match the results we provide - not to mention the flexibility of the work schedule and program we can adjust to.
We focus on results in time. Results, because only they matter. In time, because you cannot wait for them forever. I and the people I work with understand that.
Range and specialty of services vs. their execution:
Have you ever seen an ad: “Web designer, SEO expert, translation expert at your service. Call Mike at…” ? Ever wondered about his level of specialty at each one of these? Were you confronted by the lack of certain services at some of the agencies? Online Marketing Japan offers a wide range of services but also uses selected and proven freelance specialists for each one of them. It’s a fresh and much more effective way to provide solutions to your business.
Knowledge:
If you are planning to expand online in the Japanese market, you should work with people who are fluent in English. Why? Consider this: 99.9% of what’s out there on the Internet (PPC, SEO, Affiliate, SNS, Social Media, online advertising, and so on) came from the US. The internet is still predominantly an English-based medium. Japan, although ahead of cell-phone technology, lags behind in Internet innovation and knowledge. This shows on the quality of domestic consultants, web marketers and so on. Online Marketing Japan has access and knowledge of the latest in the Google algorithms change, online strategies and developments directly from their source.
Because I do not take clients whom I know I cannot help:
Forget it. I rather go and take a part time work teaching English than waste your money. Can any of the VPs in the ‘world-renowned’ agencies say that? Trust me that their list of clients who have failed miserably is much longer than the ones they proudly feature on their sites.
